This polumaraton (half marathon) takes runners up and down the lower slopes of the picturesque Žumberak mountain range in Croatia.

The start and the finish are on the main square of the town of Jastrebarsko (or "Jaska") which sits at the foot of the mountain range.

Although Croatia's capital Zagreb is less than 40km away and although the route is very scenic it's a relatively small event with under 200 finishers, probably because the route is very hilly and challenging.

The first half of the race is mostly uphill and the second half downhill but there are also several short steep climbs in between. The race is run entirely on asphalt roads.

Last year, 169 runners took part in the half marathon. Hrvoje Zebić was the first runner across the line in a time of 1hr 22min 10sec. Ultra runner Veronika Jurišić was the fastest woman in 1hr 27min which earned her fifth place overall.

The supporting 5k race had 84 finishers.
