16th ‘Half Marathon Jaska’ 2014
Jastrebarsko (Croatia), Sunday 18 May 2014
The Polumaraton Jaska ("Half Marathon Jaska") features a very hilly and scenic route through rural Croatia.
Starting and finishing in the town of Jastrebarsko (also called "Jaska"), which is situated approximately 40 kilometres south-west of Zagreb, participants run on asphalt roads up and down the lower slopes of the lovely Žumberak-Samobor Hills (pictured).
The first half of the race is mostly uphill and the second half is downhill but there are also several short steep climbs in between.
Last year, the half marathon had 162 finishers. The winners were Dinjar Dražen (1:18:35) and Ingrid Nikolesić (1:29:23). The supporting 5k race had 41 finishers.
