3rd Radoboj Marathon 2010
Held one week after the Zagreb Marathon, this "marathon" in northern Croatia is a very small event. Last year's race had only 39 finishers.
The course is slightly shorter than the classic marathon distance — it's just 15.2 kilometres long.
The start and the finish are in the village of Radoboj, which is located around 60 kilometres to the north of Zagreb.
The route is very hilly. Participants run one loop through the Zagorje, a delightful region of wooded hills, vineyards, fields, vegetable plots, small villages and castles.
Most of the course runs on country roads but some sections are on trails.
Although it's an event without entry fees there are many small prizes and presents to all runners.
In 2009, on a different course, the winners were Matija Grabovečki and Gabrijela Šalković.
