A show you shouldn't miss. The best views are from the grandstand.

Instead of graceful Lipizzan horses, hundreds of fashionably dressed runners will trot around the arena of the Piber stud farm in southern Austria. Since 1920, Piber has provided the elegant Lipizzans to the famous Spanish Riding School in Vienna.

Many runners clearly enjoy the unique moment of running through the start/finish area on the parade ground, and you'll surely see a lot of chic sports clothes and trendy sunglasses.

The event includes a 7k race, a 14k race and a half marathon. All races follow the same 7km-lap course, so that half marathon runners can delight in passing the grandstand several times.

The races are run over a mixed-terrain course through fields and woods. Less than half of the course is on asphalt. The route is quite challenging as it features an elevation gain of 110 metres each lap.

Last year, the 7k run proved the most popular. More than half of the 568 finishers decided to run just one lap.
