21st New Year's Run Dolsko 2010

This "New Year's Run" in Slovenia is held on 26 December in the village of Dolsko, situated in the Sava River Valley, approximately 10 miles from Ljubljana's city centre.

Participants run through fields, woods and villages, mostly on asphalt roads:

• 14.5km (men 49 years and under)
• 10.5km (men 50 years and over; women)
• 4.5km (fun run)
• 300m (preschool children)

The 4.5k fun run is flat out-and-back the valley, but the longer races go up and down the hills to the north of Dolsko. Competitors in the 10.5k join the 14.5k runners at the 4km mark.

In 2009, the top finishers were Tone Kosmač (48:36) and Lucija Krkoč (39:43).
