The Ormoški nočni ulični tek (‘Ormož Night Street Run’) is held annually in June in the town of Ormož in Slovenia.
Ormož is a small town of around 2,000 people, situated in a lovely wine-producing region in the eastern part of the country, right on the border with Croatia.
The event features races for the whole family:
- children: 550m, 1.1km
- families: 1.1km (2 runners)
- teams: 3x550m
- women: 4km
- men: 4.8km
Starting on the main square, Kerenčičev trg (pictured), women run five laps and men run six laps of an undulating 800m loop course through the town centre.
Over the years, many elite and fun runners from Slovenia and neighbouring countries have taken part in the event.
The race organizers do not charge any registration fees. The entry is free!
