The Maraton Savinja is a running event held in the lovely Upper Savinja River Valley in Slovenia.
Five scenic races are available: 600m kids run, 3.5km, 7km, 14km and 21km.
All races begin and end at the Mozirski gaj flower park (pictured above) in the municipality of Mozirje.
The 21km race is three laps of the 7km course which takes the runners on mixed terrain (asphalt and gravel) through the village of Loke pri Mozirju, through farmland, along the Savinja and through the flower park.
