The Novosadski polumaraton (Novi Sad Half Marathon) is traditionally held in the spring, the Novosadski maraton (Novi Sad Marathon) in the autumn.
The spring event offers these races:
- 4.2m-200m-400m-800m-1km children's races
- 5km run and nordic walking
- 10km run and nordic walking
- 21.1km half marathon
- 21.1km relay
All races begin and end on Trg Slobode (Liberty Square, pictured) in the city centre of Novi Sad, which is located on the River Danube in Vojvodina, a multi-ethnic autonomous province in the far north of Serbia.
The route takes the runners through the very pretty Old Town, along the Danube and through residential areas. The course is flat.
