Held annually in the summer in Buntekuh ("colourful cow"), a multicultural quarter of the city of Lübeck, Germany, the Buntekuhlauf attracts around 300 runners and walkers.
Starting and finishing at the Sportplatz Koggenweg, which is approximately three kilometres from Lübeck's historic city centre, the event offers races for all ages and abilities:
- 750m and 1.5km run for children
- 5km run, walking, nordic walking
- 10km run
- 15km run
The 5k is one lap, the 10k is two laps and the 15k is three laps of a gently-undulating course through residential areas and parkland.
