This cross country running event is held annually in the state of Brandenburg, just outside the city limits of Germany's capital Berlin.

The event takes place on the sandy trails of the Döberitzer Heide (Döberitz Heath) which is situated on the edge of the village of Groß Glienicke.

Entrants can choose between two race distances, 4.5km and 9km.

The start/finish area is at the motocross track of the Motorsportclub Groß Glienicke. The route takes the runners through a military training area of the Bundeswehr.
