This Stadtlauf (town run) in Germany's state of Bayern (Bavaria) draws a crowd of about 1,000 runners to the historic centre of Erding, an old beer-brewing town of some 37,000 residents, situated in an agricultural region near the city of München (Munich).
The event comprises a 10k, a 5k and three races for children.
Participants in the 10k race run four laps through the town centre, starting and finishing in the heart of the picturesque Old Town with its many colourful buildings.
