The Kroměřížský 1/2 a 1/4maraton (‘Kroměříž Half and Quarter Marathon’) is a running event held annually since 2013 in the Zlín Region in Czechia.
It offers children's races, a 21.1km půlmaraton (half marathon) and a 10.55km čtvrtmaraton (quarter marathon).
The half marathon is two laps of a flat course that begins and ends at the zimní stadion (ice hockey arena) in Kroměříž, a 900-year-old town that is well worth a visit for its beautiful historic centre and for its castle and gardens, which are listed as UNESCO World Heritage Sites.
The race is run mainly on roads and cycleways. Approximately ten per cent of the course is off road.
The route runs along the Morava river (pictured above), through farmland and through the village of Trávnické Zahrady:
