The Utrka grada Čakovca (‘Čakovec Town Run’) is a running event held every year in the spring in Čakovec, a town of about 27,000 people in Međimurje County in the far north of Croatia.
For the first ten years it was a competitive event offering a 5k race and several shorter races for children and less ambitious runners.
Since 2017, it has been a non-competitive fundraising event. Runners and walkers of all ages are welcome to take part in the 2k fun run through the lovely Zrinski Park in the town centre.
The start/finish area is on Trg Republike (‘Republic Square’, pictured above).
