The Night Run České Budějovice features a particularly beautiful setting.

The start and the finish line are on náměstí Přemysla Otakara II. (Ottokar II Square), one of the largest town squares in the Czech Republic, situated in the heart of the beer-brewing city of České Budějovice (German: Budweis).

Two race distances are available, 5km (one lap) and 10km (two laps).

The 5k starts off at 6.30pm, the 10k at 7.30pm. All participants must wear a headlamp during the race.

The route takes the runners along two rivers (the Vltava and the Malše), through the vast Stromovka park, across Sokolský ostrov (an island with many sports facilities) and through the picturesque historic town centre.

Apart from two bridges, the course is flat. The streets in the Old Town are cobbled.

Last year, the two races combined had almost 1,000 finishers.

The event also offers children's races and a non-competitive Family Run (2km).
