Participants in the Tek prijateljstva (‘Friendship Race’) run 11.8 kilometres of a very hilly circular route through a beautiful karstic landscape in Slovenia's Notranjska region.

The race begins and ends in the village of Hotedršica which is approximately 25 kilometres from the famous Postojna Caves and 40 kilometres from the capital Ljubljana.

The route runs through forests, pastures and lovely meadows, for the most part on gravel roads. The first half of the course is mainly uphill, the second half downhill. The difference between the lowest and the highest point on the course is about 150 metres.

Last year, the race had 51 finishers. The winners were Borut Albreht (44min 15sec) and Lucija Krkoč (48min 21sec). Almost 200 children took part in the kids' races.
