With about 1,000 to 1,500 finishers, the Tek štirih mostov (or Four Bridges Run) is one of Slovenia's most popular 10k races.

The event features a superb setting. It takes place in Škofja Loka, one of the oldest and prettiest small towns in the country, situated just about 23 kilometres from the city centre of Ljubljana, Slovenia's capital.

Starting at 9pm on Mestni trg, the main square in the medieval Old Town, it is also a very atmospheric event that draws many spectators to the historic town centre.

The race is two laps (4km+6km) of an undulating course that takes the runners through the Old Town, through residential and rural areas, and across two rivers and four bridges.

Last year, Primož Kobe set a new course record of 31 minutes 19 seconds. Katja Juhart was the fastest woman in a time of 38 minutes 16 seconds.

It is possible to form a team of two and run the race as a relay (4km+6km).
