The Giulietta & Romeo Half Marathon is one of Italy's most popular half marathon races. Last year, more than 7,000 runners completed the flat, scenic and AIMS-certified course through Verona, a beautiful city of art and culture, and the setting for Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet play.

In addition, over 1,700 runners took part in the Duo Marathon, a relay race for teams of two runners (10km + 11km).

The half marathon consists of two laps, approximately 10km and 11km long.

Starting at the Stadio Marcantonio Bentegodi, Italy's eighth-largest stadium, the route winds its way through the city centre and through the picturesque Old Town, passing many of Verona´s best sights. Towards the end of the race, participants run through the Arena, the third-largest of all Roman amphitheatres. The finish line is on Piazza Bra in front of the Arena.
