Adorgnano di Tricesimo (Italy), Sunday 5 February 2017
Camminando in Compagnia (‘Walking in Company’) is one of the many hugely popular non-competitive sports events that are held over the whole year in villages and small towns of the beautiful Friuli area in the north-eastern part of Italy.
Even on a cold and rainy day like last year, the event attracts more than 600 runners and walkers to the village of Adorgnano di Tricesimo, which is situated near the city of Udine.
Participants can choose between three routes, approximately 7km, 13km and 19km long.
The routes are undulating to hilly and very scenic as they take the runners on mixed terrain (asphalt, gravel and trails) through vineyards, farmland, woods and villages, passing several fine villas and a castello medioevale:
The course is well marked and marshalled, and you can expect a fine selection of snacks, fruit and drinks at the aid stations. Last year, all participants were served a minestrone soup after the run.
The entry fees are very low — € 3 for entries on the day of the event.
