The City Marathon Bremerhaven 2017 will be held just a couple of hours after the Marathon Nacht Rostock, so you will have to decide if you want to run in the North Sea port of Bremerhaven or in the Baltic Sea port of Rostock.
Rostock (206,000 inhabitants) is a bigger city than Bremerhaven (114,000), and the Marathon Nacht in Rostock also attracts some more runners than the City Marathon in Bremerhaven.
Last year, 1,443 runners and 61 relay teams crossed the finish line in Rostock, compared to 952 runners, 60 walkers and 8 relay teams in Bremerhaven.

The 5k is one lap, the 10k is also one lap, the half marathon is two laps and the full marathon is four laps.
Starting and finishing on Bremerhaven's pedestrianized main shopping street, the route travels through the city centre as well as through residential areas and parkland.
