Bratislava (Slovakia), Saturday 24 September 2016
The Night Run in Bratislava is Slovakia's most popular 10k race.
Last year, Juraj Vitko (31min 15sec) and Zuzana Durcová (36min 1sec) led a record number of 3,601 runners across the finish line at the Eurovea, a multi-purpose centre that sits right on the River Danube, just about one kilometre to the east of the city centre.
The race takes the runners along the Danube, through the tunnel under the imposing Bratislava Castle (pictured), through the pedestrianized Old Town, across the brand-new Starý most (Old Bridge) to the southern part of the city, through the Sad Janka Kráľa park, and finally back across the Old Bridge to the Eurovea centre.
The time limit to complete the course is 90 minutes.
