The Kladenský maratón (Kladno Marathon) is held in the Lesopark Lapák (Lapák Forest Park) on the edge of Kladno, a town with a long industrial heritage, located 30km to the west of Prague.
The 42.195km marathon route is AIMS-certified and very flat and fast.
Starting and finishing on the athletics track in the south-western part of Kladno, participants run eight laps of a 5km-long loop course on asphalt and gravel roads through the forest.
Last year, the marathon had 167 finishers. The winners were Zdeněk Neruda (2:42:32) and Michaela Dimitriadu (3:08:11). The time limit to finish the race is six hours.
