Piešťany (Slovakia), Saturday 8 October 2016
The Piešťany Night City Run is held in Slovakia's largest spa town, Piešťany, which is situated on the River Váh in the western part of the country, approximately 85 kilometres from the capital Bratislava.
Two race distances are available, 5km and 10km.
The course is very flat, starting on Námestie slobody, the main square in the town centre. The route takes the racers along the Váh and the much smaller Dubová, through residential areas and through the Mestský park (Town Park).
It also visits Piešťany's best-known sight, the Barlolámač (Crutch-breaker) at the Kolonádový most (Colonnade Bridge), Slovakia's longest covered bridge, which connects the town centre with the spa island.
