České Budějovice (Czech Republic), Saturday 8 October 2016
The Night Run České Budějovice features a particularly beautiful setting.
The start and the finish line are on náměstí Přemysla Otakara II. (Ottokar II Square), one of the largest town squares in the Czech Republic, situated in the heart of the city of České Budějovice, which is in many countries, due to its fine beers, better known by its German name of Budweis.
Two race distances are available, 5km and 10km. The 5k starts off at 6.15pm, the 10k one hour later. All runners must wear a headlamp during the race.
The 10k is two laps of a scenic route that runs along two rivers (the Vltava and the Malše), through parkland and through the historic centre.
Apart from two bridges, the course is flat. The streets in the Old Town are cobbled.
More than 900 runners took part in the two races last year.
This is the smallest of the six footbridges on the course.
