The Casinolauf takes place in the chic resort of Velden am Wörther See which sits at the western end of the Wörthersee in Austria's state of Kärnten.
Held annually on Austria's national day, the Nationalfeiertag, which is celebrated on October 26th, the event offers a 6.5km race and several shorter races for children.
Starting at the Casino Velden, participants run five laps of a 1.3km-long course through Velden's town centre and along the lakeside promenade.
Over 200 runners took part in the event last year. The fastest finisher in the 6.5km run was Gernot Hammer in a time of 21 minutes 47 seconds. Lisa Perterer won the women's race in 22 minutes 31 seconds, which earned her third place overall.
