Visoko pri Poljanah (Slovenia), Saturday 28 May 2016
Participants in the Visoški tek run 9.7 kilometres of an undulating out-and-back course along the Poljanska dolina (Poljane Valley), a lovely green valley that cuts through the wooded hills between Slovenia's capital Ljubljana and the Julian Alps.
The start and the finish are at the country manor house of Visoko pri Poljanah which is located about ten kilometres from the picturesque old town of Škofja Loka.
The route is mostly on gravel roads and trails with a few stretches on asphalt roads.
Last year, the race had 134 finishers. The winners were Gregor Kustec (33min 46sec) and Mateja Adrović (39min 9sec). Almost 200 children took part in the kids' races.
