13. Grömitzer Sun-Run 2016

Held in the over-200-year-old Baltic Sea resort of Grömitz in Germany's state of Schleswig-Holstein, the Grömitzer Sun-Run features children's races, a 5k run, a 5k for walkers and nordic walkers, a 10k race and a half marathon.

Last year, more than 750 athletes took part in the event.

Starting and finishing at the Seebrücke pier, all races are run out and back the beach promenade.

Participants in the half marathon also run a loop through agricultural areas away from the coast, passing the Cismar Abbey, a Benedictine monastery founded in 1238.

You get: T-shirt (to the first 1,222 entries), free parking (Großraumparkplatz Gildestraße); participants can use the swimming pool and the showers of the 'Grömitzer Welle' for € 1 (for one hour until 16.00)
