58. Kolín - Velký Osek - Kolín 2016
Kolín (Czech Republic), Sunday 15 May 2016
The KVOK (Kolín—Velký Osek—Kolín) half marathon features a flat out-and-back course that begins and ends in Kolín, a town of about 30,000 people, situated on the River Labe (Elbe) in the Czech Republic, approximately 60km east of Prague.
Starting on Kolín's athletics track, which is a 15-minute walk from the beautiful old town, the route runs along the river and then northwards, mostly on cycleways, through agricultural areas to the village of Velký Osek.
Along the route, you can expect fine support by friendly helpers at the aid stations ...
... and by the locals in the villages.
In 2015, 140 runners took part in the KVOK Half Marathon. The fastest finishers were Jiří Čivrný (1:12:49) and Radka Zbíralová (1:31:26). Vojtěch Hrabánek won the Czech barefoot running championships (1:38:21).
