31. Landstraßer Bezirkslauf 2016
Vienna (Austria), Sunday 5 June 2016
The Donaukanallauf takes you along both banks of the Donaukanal (Danube Canal) which flows through the city centre of Austria's capital Wien (Vienna).
You can choose between two race distances — 4.75 kilometres (one lap) or 9.5 kilometres (two laps). Children run either 530 metres or 1,180 metres.
The start and the finish are at the Strandbar Herrmann beach bar, which is situated next to the Urania observatory on the edge of the inner city.
The route is on riverside cycleways, so there's no car traffic.
In 2016, the event drew approximately 650 participants. The fastest finishers in the 9.5km race were Christoph Schatzmann (32:10) and Carola Bendl-Tschiedel (38:33).
