The Memoriál Petra Minárecha is held in memory of Peter Minárech, an avid runner and former organizer of the Trebatická desiatka (Trebatice 10k race).
The event takes place in the village of Trebatice, which sits in the wide Váh valley in the western part of Slovakia, just about 7km from the spa town of Piešťany.
Participants run three and a half laps of a 2.8km-long course through the village, so the start and the finish are 1.6km apart.
Last year, Róbert Valiček (34 minutes 56 seconds) and Ľubomíra Maníková (38 minutes 16 seconds) led a field of 117 runners across the finish line.
The entry fees are very low (€2), and the registration process is very easy. You just need to turn up and register on the day.
This video may help you to decide to make your way to Trebatice and run the 10k yourself.
