Dresden (Germany), Friday 19 August 2016
The Dresdner Nachtlauf (Dresden Night Run) forms part of the Dresdner Stadtfest, a three-day street festival (19-21 August 2016) which draws more than half a million visitors every year.
Starting and finishing in the city centre of Dresden, the 13.8km race takes the runners along the green banks of the River Elbe, mainly on cycleways.
Last year, Paul Schmidt (43min 53sec) and Victoria Brandt (52min 40sec) led a crowd of about 2,500 runners across the finishing line.
This year, the event also offers a 5km point-to-point run which will begin at the 8.8km mark of the 13.8km race.
