Staged on the northern outskirts of Austria's capital Wien, the Kahlenberglauf features an 8.4km multi-terrain course that begins in Kahlenbergerdorf on the River Danube and ends at the transmission tower on the summit of the Kahlenberg (484m).
The route includes 490m of ascent and 196m of descent.
After the race, participants can take a shorter route to get down to the award ceremony in Kahlenbergerdorf.
Last year's Kahlenberglauf had 154 finishers.
