Bušeča vas (Slovenia), Sunday 18 October 2015
The Tek po vinski cesti ("Run along the Wine Road") begins and ends in the village of Bušeča vas which sits in the lovely Krka River Valley in Slovenia's Dolenjska region.
The route is 9.65km long and very challenging as it features almost 250m of ascent (and the same of descent).
Competitors run through farmland, vineyards and villages, mostly on asphalt roads.
The event also offers a 1.72km run, children's races, and a guided walk.
Last year, 223 runners took part in the event. The fastest finishers were Denis Guzelj (35:41) and Marjeta Stržinar (42:15).
