17th 'Visoko Run' 2015
Visoko pri Poljanah (Slovenia), Saturday 30 May 2015
Participants in the Visoški tek run 9.7 kilometres of an undulating out-and-back course along the Poljanska dolina (Poljane Valley), a lovely green valley that cuts through the wooded hills between Slovenia's capital Ljubljana and the Julian Alps.
The start and the finish are at the country manor house of Visoko pri Poljanah which is located about 10km from the picturesque old town of Škofja Loka.
The route is mostly on gravel roads and trails. Some sections are on asphalt roads.
Last year, the top finishers in the 9.7km race were Peter Oblak (32min 33sec) and Petra Race (37min 39sec). More than 300 runners took part in the event.
The Visoški tek takes place in a truly beautiful setting.
