Jesenice (Slovenia), Saturday 21 March 2015
The Pomladni tek (‘Spring Run’) is staged in the steel town of Jesenice which sits in the steep Upper Sava Valley in Slovenia's alpine Gorenjska region.
The event comprises a 10k race, a 3k fun run and children's races.
Starting and finishing at the protected Stara Sava ironworks complex (pictured), the 10k is an out-and-back run on asphalt roads along the valley.
Popular with local runners, cyclists and inline skaters all year round, the route is mostly flat and — for the time of the race — closed to traffic.
