15th Saint Nicholas Race 2015

The Miklavžev tek (Saint Nicholas Race) offers a great day out at the thermal spa complex of Terme Snovik, which is situated in the foothills of the Kamnik-Savinja Alps, approximately 30 kilometres from Slovenia's capital Ljubljana.

Held annually in early December, it's an atmospheric mountain running event that attracts around 400 athletes, among them some of Slovenia's best mountain runners.

The route is 5.3km long. It includes approximately 300m of ascent.

Children run 1.4km, with 90m of elevation gain.

Starting at the spa, the route runs on mixed terrain through rural scenery and woods up to the finish line at the church of Sveti Miklavž (Saint Nicholas) which stands at about 750m above sea level on top of a wooded hill.

After the race, participants get free entry to the thermal pools of Terme Snovik.

In 2014, the fastest finishers were Rok Puhar (21:51) and Lucija Krkoč (25:05).
