3rd Brno Half Marathon 2015

Held in Brno, the Czech Republic's second-largest city, this running event offers
- a 10.55km quarter marathon (Brněnská desítka),
- a 21.1km half marathon (Brněnský půlmaraton),
- a 21.1km relay race for teams of four runners,
- and children's races.
The route is undulating. The half marathon is two laps of the 10.55km course.
More than 1,800 runners took part in the event last year.
Starting and finishing on náměstí Svobody, Brno's main square, the route takes the runners to the south-western part of the city (pictured), passing the main train station and the Hala Rondo, which is home to the HC Kometa Brno, one of the Czech Republic's most successful ice hockey clubs.
Then, participants run a loop around the Brněnské výstaviště (Brno Exhibition Centre) with its acclaimed modernist buildings. The loop includes a short detour into the Velodrom where the competitors run a lap on the cycling track.
The time limit to complete the half marathon is three hours.
