The NATORUN (Hungarian: NATO Futás) in Budapest is a popular running event with about 1700 finishers last year.

Organized by the Budapest Athletic Federation, the event features a 10km point-to-point race through the city centre, a 10km relay race for teams of two runners (6km + 4km), and a 4km run and walk through the vast City Park.

The 10k begins at "Bloodfield" (Hungarian: Vérmező), a public park at the foot of Castle Hill in Buda, the western part of Budapest.

Competitors run across the magnificent Chain Bridge to Pest (the eastern part of the city) where the route runs along Andrássy út (Budapest's grandest boulevard), across the impressive Heroes' Square, and through the City Park.

Last year, the fastest 10k finishers were Gergely Rezessy (31min 37sec) and Zsanett Kis (35min 57sec). The time limit to complete the course is 75min.

Compared to many other big running events in Budapest the entry fees are low, ranging from six to ten euros for the 10k race.
