This Stadtlauf features a 5k and a 10k race through the city centre of Frankfurt am Main, Germany's fifth-largest city with a population of about 700,000.

The 5k is one lap and the 10k is two laps of a flat out-and-back course.

The route runs along Frankfurt's main shopping street (the ‘Zeil’), along the River Main, and past the skyscrapers of the ‘Bankenviertel’ — one of the world's leading financial centres, appropriately nicknamed "Mainhattan" (pictured).

Instead of a bib number, participants get a technical T-shirt which they must wear during the race.
