Villach (Austria), Friday 25 July 2014
The Citylauf Villach offers a 5.8km run and two shorter children's races through the town centre of Villach, an appealing town of 60,000 inhabitants, located on the River Drau in the southern part of Austria, not far from the borders with Italy and Slovenia.
Participants in the 5.8km race run three laps of an undulating and traffic-free course. The race is run on a mix of asphalt and cobbles through the Old Town, along the river and across two Drau bridges.
Held on a summer evening in July, the event attracts around 300 runners.
