Participants in the 3/4-Halbmarathon run 17.6km of an undulating point-to-point course along the Tauferer Tal, a green valley situated in a German-speaking region in Italy's beautiful alpine province of South Tyrol.

The race begins in the very pretty small town of Bruneck (Italian: Brunico) and ends in the resort of Sand in Taufers (Campo Tures).

Snow-capped mountain peaks and several castles on the hillsides provide an impressive backdrop to the course.

The route is on traffic-free roads and cycleways. A short section is on a trail.

Last year, the race had more 700 finishers. The winners were Georg Brunner (0:58:04) and Kathrin Hanspeter (1:08:26). The time limit to complete the course is three hours.
