17th ‘Four brave men run around Lake Bohinj’ 2014
Bohinjsko jezero (Slovenia), Saturday 9 August 2014
The ‘Tek štirih srčnih mož okoli Bohinjskega jezera’ takes around 450 runners around Lake Bohinj (Slovene: Bohinjsko jezero), Slovenia's largest lake, situated deep in the Julian Alps.
The route is approximately 12km long. Participants run anticlockwise around the lake, mostly through forests close to the shore, and mostly on gravel or forest trails, which are rather narrow in parts.
Last year, the top finishers were Marko Pintar (39:34) and Lidija Cerkovnik (41:49).
