Pfaffstätten-Mödling (Austria), Sunday 31 August 2014
The Weinstraßenlauf features a very undulating and scenic 10km point-to-point route through a lovely wine-producing region near Austria's capital Vienna.
Starting in the village of Pfaffstätten (approximately 25km south of Vienna's city centre), the route runs northwards through vineyards and the pretty village of Gumpoldskirchen to the finish line in the town of Mödling (ca. 15km from Vienna).
Last year, the Weinstraßenlauf welcomed around 230 runners. The fastest finishers were Wolfgang Mangold (34:22) and Monika Kalbacher (42:22).
