5th Bled Half Marathon 2014
Bled (Slovenia), Saturday 30 August 2014
The Mali Blejski Maraton attracts around 250 runners to the picture-postcard lake of Bled, Slovenia's most popular alpine tourist destination.
There are two race distances to choose from: The 5.9km ‘Family Run’ (družinski tek) is one lap, and the 21.1km half marathon (mali maraton) is three and a half laps around the lake. The route is undulating and very scenic.
The races wil be started at 5pm on a Saturday in late August when it may still be pretty warm in the region, and when there might be quite a few afternoon strollers on the course. Thus, you might prefer to treat the race as a fun run in a splendid setting and enjoy the scenery, rather than aiming for a fast time.
