The Park Tek 10k race attracts around 100 runners to the picturesque old town of Novo mesto, which is located half-way between Slovenia's capital Ljubljana and Croatia's capital Zagreb.
Starting and finishing at the Športni park Loka on the edge of the historic town centre, participants run out and back along the beautiful River Krka, mostly on gravel paths. The turning point is near the village of Češča vas.
The entry fees will be donated to a kindergarten in Novo mesto.
Ninety-four runners completed the 10k race of the Park tek 2014. The fastest finishers were Matej Uhan (33min 26sec) and Breda Škedelj (40min 30sec).
