Blaguško jezero (Slovenia), Saturday 26 April 2014
The Blaguški tek (‘Blaguš Run’) offers scenic multi-terrain races for all ages and abilities — a 9km race for men, a 6km race for women, a 3km run for everybody, and a number of shorter children's races.
All races begin and end at the lovely little reservoir of Blaguško jezero (Lake Blaguš) near the village of Sveti Jurij ob Ščavnici, which sits amid rolling hills in eastern Slovenia, near the borders with Austria, Croatia, and Hungary.
The route is an undulating 3km loop through pretty countryside, mostly on trails and gravel roads. A short uphill section (ca. 500m) is on asphalt.
