Held annually on a Saturday night in mid-September, this 9km run in Slovakia's capital Bratislava is an attractive and quickly-growing event.

Last year, over 3100 competitors from 14 countries took part in the race which begins at 8pm at the modern ‘River Park’ multi-purpose complex, situated about 1.5km west of the city centre on the River Danube.

The route takes runners along the Danube, through the tunnel under the imposing Bratislava Castle, and through the beautiful historic city centre.

In 2013, the event accepts 4000 entries, and the race may well fill up early.
