28th ‘Kostanjevica Run’ 2013

This scenic multi-terrain race in Slovenia's Dolenjska region begins and ends in the small town of Kostanjevica na Krki, built in the 13th century on an island in the River Krka.
The route is an undulating 9km loop which includes about 120m of ascent.
Participants run through farmland, woods and villages, and they pass the imposing Kostanjevica Abbey.
Approximately 5.7km of the course are on asphalt roads, 2.5km on gravel roads, and 800m on trails.
Last year, 121 runners completed the race. The top finishers were Jan Samide (31:40) and Alenka Radej (39:51).
