Erding (Germany), Sunday 29 September 2013
This atmospheric Stadtlauf in Germany's state of Bavaria takes place in the old ‘Bierstadt’ Erding, a beer-brewing town of about 35,000 people, situated in a low-lying agricultural region near the Munich Airport.
Over 500 runners took part in the 10k race last year. The children's races had more than 250 participants.
The route is a two-kilometre loop that begins and ends in the heart of Erding's very pretty Old Town.
In order to avoid overcrowding on the course, the 10k field is split into two groups. The faster runners start at 2.30pm, the slower runners one hour later.
