23. Półmaraton Piła 2013
Piła (Poland), Sunday 8 September 2013
The Pila Half Marathon is one of Poland's most prestigious road running races.
Around 2000 runners took part in the race last year. The top finishers were Boniface Wambua Nduwa of Kenya (1:03:31) and Maryna Damantsevich of Belarus (1:14:12).
Starting and finishing in the town centre, the new course consists of three different loops. The course is gently undulating.
Piła is a largely modern town of about 75,000 people in north-western Poland.
There aren't many sights of historic interest in Piła but it's a pleasant and welcoming town with lots of green spaces and parks, and many forests, lakes and rivers nearby.
