Berlin (Germany), Sunday 29 September 2013
Fourty thousand runners only will be permitted to run through the Brandenburg Gate to the finish line of the Berlin Marathon. All the others will have to join the crowds that watch the race.
Registration to the Berlin Marathon 2013 opens on 25 October 2012 and it will fill up fast — although it's not cheap to run in Berlin.
The event charges entry fees between 60 and 110 euros — more than any other event listed in our run international Race Guide.
Well, Germans say "Berlin ist immer eine Reise wert" ("Berlin is always worth a trip"), everybody else agrees, the course is very fast, and the atmosphere outstanding.
The Berlin Marathon 2013 has been sold out, three and a half hours after registration began.
